Records Request Reveals Full Audit Logs

A public records request made by Austin Theriault in February 2026 has finally yielded results. Just yesterday (October 21, 2026), media relations supplied 58 files, 51 of which are CSV audit log files. This is further broken up into two types of lists: one containing searches by SF GOV employees and one containing searches of the SF Database by other agencies. This dataset includes names of agencies and people, search reasons, query numbers, and a few other values. DeFlock SF has been able to process some of this data into statistics, pictured below. If you would like to access the file, you may do so through Muckrock or directly without login here on the DeFlock SF website. We will continue to update this article with more statistics as they are made available.
